David Sowerwine has worked as an executive in international manufacturing and sales for Castle and Cook, Raychem Corporation and Integrated Media Systems.  He was also the founder of Terra Nova Farms.  From 1991-2005, David worked in Nepal, wearing many hats.  He worked for the US Agency for International Development supporting Nepalese agribusiness entrepreneurs. He founded the Forum of International Investors in Nepal, working with government agencies to improve the climate for foreign investors.  He founded his company, Ecosystems, a precursor to Looma Education.  Through Ecosystems, he designed, manufactured, and installed bridges, transport systems, pedal-powered generators and energy distribution systems throughout Nepal.  He received his BS in Chemical Engineering and his MBA from Stanford University.
